The Philippines’ leading smartphone brand, realme, announced the launch of its new lineup of the number series smartphones: the realme 8 and the realme 8 Pro. realme will be releasing its first 108MP camera sensor technology on the Pro version with the goal to innovate smartphone photography for every Filipino’s digital lifestyle. The brand is set to introduce the new products on May 11, Tuesday.
realme 8 Series smartphones to launch in the Philippines on May 11
Both the realme 8 and realme 8 Pro sport the 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. They also support up to 8GB RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. The realme 8 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G95 gaming processor, a 5000mAh battery capable of a 30W Dart charge, and features a 64MP AI Quad Camera setup. The realme 8 Pro, however, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, 4,500mAh battery with a 50W SuperDart charge, and holds the brand’s first leading 108MP Ultra Quad camera setup.
realme’s 108MP camera sensor comes with a maximum resolution of 12000×9000, providing an-ultra sharp photo quality and producing images likened to those taken from mirrorless cameras. The 108MP sensor also supports 9-in-1 Pixel Binning technology, which enables nine adjacent 0.7μm pixels to be combined to one large 2.1μm pixel and greatly improves image quality under dim light.
