realme’s first smartphone with MediaTek Helio G96 Chipset
The device is equipped with realme’s first G96 chip. It’s manufactured using a 12nm process and has two large A75 cores and 6 small A55 cores. Its main frequency reaches up to 2.05GHz. Compared to its predecessor, the realme 7i, the performance of the realme 8i has improved by 65%. The GPU has been improved by 91%, and the CPU by 51%.
This G96 is also a processor launched with the joint collaboration of realme and MediaTek. A team of engineers had technically optimized 3 major performance features. Firstly, Helio G96 is the only G9 series chip that can power 120Hz displays. Secondly, it supports realme’s first screen whose brightness can reach as low as 1 nit. Lastly, its gaming performance completely surpasses that of its predecessor, the realme 7i, providing a smoother gaming experience.

The realme 8i features an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, the first at its price to do so. realme continues to take leaps with this technology, letting more people enjoy a smoother experience. Compared to 60Hz, 120Hz delivers noticeably smoother visual effects, and 6 different refresh rates (30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz) are supported to help the phone conserve battery power. In addition, it sports a massive 6.6-inch LCD display, giving you a superior visual experience, as well as a 100% DCI-P3 Color Space and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

realme 8i’s main camera features a 50MP sensor with ƒ/1.8 large aperture and a 50MP lens that secures enough light to make pictures clearer and brighter. In addition, the product also supports PDAF that making the focus more rapid and precise.

Pricing and Availability

The realme 8i will be available in two variants: 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB, and in two colors: Space Black and Stellar Purple.
The realme 8i 4GB+64GB will retail for ₱9,990.00, while the realme 8i 6GB+128GB (with 5GB RAM Expansion option) will retail for ₱11,990.00. As an early-bird offer exclusively on Lazada, both the realme 8i 4GB+64GB and the 6GB+128GB will be available with ₱1,000 discount, for ₱8,990 and ₱10,990, respectively, starting November 17, 12 MN until November 21.
